The boys go BIG at the Wedding GIG

The senior students played at a Wedding this December. They were simply fantastic!

What a year it's been! These boys were spotted at our Boomwhackers Concert and because of their impressive performance they were asked to play a few tunes at pre-drinks for a Wedding. The wedding took place just outside Napier on a beautiful olive farm and the groom was none other than our music mentor Michael Newdigate. We arrived early with plenty of time to set up and connect with James Peiser, guru of sound. James immediately took the boys under his wing and had a multitude of valuable lessons op his sleeve, which they immediately put into practice.

"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." Pele

Bertram, Denzil, and Eugene (or in our musical circles also known as Mr A, Denzil Legend and Satira), eased into their set as if they've been doing this for a long time. I guess some of us are just made for the stage!

The Music Academy would like to express our gratitude to John, Liz & Michael Newdigate (and your beautiful bride) for making this possible, and for the inspiring opportunity, and springboard for greater things to come!
